Modern design.

Electronic cooling is suitable for devices with low usage demand. These are typically used in home environments and small offices with up to 3–4 people. Cooling takes place in a hygienic reservoir, with a Peltier element mounted on its outer side. This is a ceramic plate containing multiple PN junctions. When powered by electric current, one side of the Peltier element cools while the other side heats up. The cooling side is placed against the water reservoir, while the heating side must be cooled using a radiator and fan. To ensure proper air circulation, devices with electronic cooling must be installed with at least 10 cm of clearance from the back of the unit to any nearby surface such as walls. The Peltier element cools water to approximately 10°C–15°C, but ambient temperature has a significant influence. The cooling capacity is approximately 700 ml per hour. It is important not to exceed the operating limits of the system, as this may lead to overheating and potential damage. Electronic cooling systems are more affordable than compressor-based systems, which is their main advantage, resulting in significantly lower product prices.
