Sparkling water San Pellegrino

San Pellegrino mineral water is produced in the town of San Pellegrino Terme, Italy. The water comes from a rock layer 400 metres below the surface, where it is mineralised by contact with limestone and volcanic rock. The springs lie at the foot of a Dolomite mountain wall, which favours the forming and replenishing of the mineral-water basin. The water then seeps to a depth of more than 700 metres and flows underground to a distant aquifer.

San Pellegrino mineral water has been produced for more than 620 years. It is said that Leonardo da Vinci visited the town in 1509 to take samples and study the town’s miraculous water, and later wrote a treatise on water.

The unmistakable taste of San Pellegrino, with its gentle bubbles and fine nuances, undoubtedly makes it the most refined Italian sparkling mineral water, able, with its incomparable sense of taste and pleasure, to improve any moment.

The red star of San Pellegrino shines against the Trevi Fountain in Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita. That same “red star” shines today as well, especially in highly successful television series such as Sex and the City and House, confirming the prestige of San Pellegrino as a status symbol around the world.
