Oligomineral natural water Fonte Margherita

Fonte Margherita was discovered in Italy in 1845 by a group of pharmacists who recognised the therapeutic qualities of the water. At first the water was sold to the public only at the spring, and later in the local pharmacies as well.

Fonte Margherita rises in an unpolluted setting, in an Alpine landscape of rare beauty. At the start of the 20th century the valley was one of the favourite summer retreats of royalty, thanks to the unspoilt scenery and the unique waters these mountains offer. Queen Margherita of Savoy, to whom the valley’s two springs are dedicated — Fonte Margherita and Fonte Regina-Staro, discovered in 1902 — was a frequent visitor.
