Naturally sparkling mineral water Borjomi

Borjomi is mineral water of volcanic origin, and by nature’s measure it is more than 1,500 years old. It rises from a depth of 8–10 km and is naturally sparkling. Unlike many other waters, the sodium bicarbonate in Borjomi mineral water has no time to cool underground and comes to the surface warm (38–41°C). Along the way its composition is enriched with 60 different minerals from the rocks of the Caucasus, in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region of southern Georgia.

Borjomi lies close to the largest protected natural area in Georgia, Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. The resort is also known for the therapeutic mineral water that rises there.

In 1990 a study found that in Borjomi water the ratio of certain hydrogen isotopes is radically different from that of the other mineral waters examined. These data confirm a substantial part of what makes this mineral water unique, as well as its positive effect on the body, which does not always lend itself to medical study. The popularity of this water lies precisely in the miraculous secret of its origin.
