What Sets the Two Cooling Types Apart

The main technical difference between water dispensers is the water cooling technology. Preheating is standard in all models — via a hygienic tank with an electric heater that warms water to 85°C–95°C. Cooling is divided into compressor and electronic types.

Important: in both options, the water has no contact with the coolers themselves. They are housed around the outer shell of the hygienic tanks.

Compressor Cooling

Compressor cooling is the more efficient and reliable method. Comparable to refrigeration in refrigerators and air conditioners, it uses a compressor system with Freon gas.

Compressor-cooled units suit home use, offices, and businesses with heavy or light loads. Water from the bottle enters a hygienic tank around which Freon coolers pass.

  • Capacity: about 3–5 litres of chilled water per hour
  • Temperature: typically 5°C–7°C (adjustable)
  • Ambient temperature has almost no effect on cooling
  • Significantly longer lifespan — over a decade under normal conditions

Electronic Cooling

Electronic cooling suits lightly loaded devices — homes and small offices with up to 3–4 people. Cooling happens via a Peltier element placed on the outside of the hygienic tank.

  • Capacity: about 700 ml per hour
  • Temperature: 5°C–12°C, strongly affected by ambient conditions
  • Requires at least 10 cm clearance from the wall for ventilation
  • Lower price, but capacity must not be exceeded

The electronic cooling system costs less than compressor cooling — the main advantage of these units.
